From Garden to Table
Nothing compares to a dish made from fresh ingredients. Since we work exclusively with the best ingredients, the plan is to use as much as possible from our production. Thus, we enable the restaurant of Hotel Villa Margaret to use fresh ingredients, from its own garden and provide guests with dishes with fresh vegetables and herbs.
The gardens are located in Porat on the island of Krk, right next to the Hotel – so that the transport from the garden to the table would be faster.
Our goal? Provide our guests with healthy, sustainable food, and also eliminate food waste.
Hotel Villa Margaret also has olive groves. Every year we produce extra virgin olive oil, so it is worth boasting a gold medal for the same. We use oils from our products in the kitchen when seasoning home-made salads, but also other dishes made of fish, seafood, meat and various delicacies. Oils sometimes end up in dessert too!
In the hotel restaurant, we do not limit olive oil only for tasting but we sell them to hotel guests at the reception. At the same time, olive oil will be an ideal souvenir and gift to take from Croatia.
